In the afternoon of May 22, 2023, DBG Chairman and General Manager Mr. Tong Kin Hing and the company’s executives warmly welcome Wee Shann Lam, the Director of the Singapore LTA (Land Transport Authority) and his Delegation to visit DBG. Senior Vice President of MHI (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries) Mr. Yamada, Chairman of Soling (Shenzhen Soling Industrial Co.,Ltd) Mr. Sheng Jiafang, General Manager of Tricheer (Shanghai Tricheer Technology Co.,Ltd.) Mr. Xiang Ming, and representatives of relevant departments and factories of DBG participated in the meeting and had in-depth communication about Singapore on-board OBU project.
OBU is an important device for Singapore’s urban smart road administration system, which is installed on every vehicle in Singapore for transportation navigation, traffic management, road toll, etc.

At the meeting, the participating parties conducted in-depth strategic cooperation and communication for Singapore on-board OBU project, summarized the project situation since the beginning of cooperation, and made a plan for future promotion and development.
Mr. Tong stated that Singapore on-board OBU project is the first collaboration project between DBG and MHI of Japan, and it is also an important milestone in DBG’s automotive electronics business. DBG will continue to adhere the principle of quality first and support the OBU project. We hope to work together in the future, more cooperation in different fields to achieve win-win result.
Tricheer and MHI awarded DBG. Senior Vice President of MHI Mr. Yamada and Chairman of Soling Mr. Sheng Jiafang on behalf of Tricheer to presented an Honorary Trophy to DBG and fully recognized DBG’s hard work in the OBU project.
The first order shipment ceremony for the OBU project, which was a collaboration between MHI and Tricheer, was held on April 27, 2023 at DBG. About 30 representatives from MHI, Tricheer, and DBG’s business team and manufacturing team attended the shipment ceremony.
The OBU project of MHI was introduced by Tricheer to DBG in the second half of 2019. The project was officially approved for mass production in August, 2022 after two and a half years of trial-production. The first batch of OBU finished goods were successfully shipped to Singapore on April 27, 2023, total project volume is estimated 4.5KK.
